Let me just say before you read the following, I am in somewhat good shape. I haven't done super intense workouts often in the passed year, but keep up with my CrossFit workouts on occasion and have won mini competitions previously. You should definitely be somewhat in shape to take the beginner level class. Now that I've said that preview, enjoy:
Class I took: TH101
Instructor: Christi and Keith
Location: Upper East Side location. Prime! Great new spot, showers/changing areas are private. Other classes are offered in building.
What I liked: The intensity (though this was the beginner class), the spirit of the instructors, the energy, the burn, the slight competitiveness.
What I didn't like: The team cheer was a bit cheesy. I would prefer more weight-based and lifting workouts rather than strictly cardio and movement based workouts.
Final Thoughts: Even for the beginner class, you should be somewhat in shape to take this or else you will not be able to move for a week. I think the time should be 45 minutes plus 15 minutes of stretching, not 1 full hour of a workout.
Price: High, but you can receive a 2-for-1 for your first class. (Hint: follow them on Instagram before booking)
Will I return: Yes, maybe once or twice
